A Sociologia da Violência no Ceará, ontem e hoje: desafios e perspectivas

The present study analyzes the history of the production of social sciences in the state of Ceará on the themes of violence, public security and criminal justice, from the 1980s to 2022. Based on bibliographic research in curricula, periodicals and banks of theses and dissertations, the article reconstructs the founding initiatives of this field of study and its continuity for three generations of researchers. Themes, concepts and methodologies of the studies and the guiding perspectives of research programs, interdisciplinary dialogues and political interventions of groups from Ceará are analyzed, pointing out continuities, gaps and new paths. O presente estudo analisa a história da produção das ciências sociais do estado do Ceará sobre os temas da violência, da segurança pública e da justiça criminal, dos anos 1980 a 2022 atualidade. Com base em pesquisa bibliográfica em currículos, periódicos e bancos de teses e dissertações, o artigo reconstitui as iniciativas fundantes desse campo de estudos e sua continuidade por três gerações de pesquisadores. Analisam-se temas, conceitos e metodologias dos estudos e as perspectivas norteadoras dos programas de pesquisa, dos diálogos interdisciplinares e das intervenções políticas dos grupos cearenses, apontando continuidades, lacunas e novos caminhos.
