Zusammenfassung:Although it is true that technology, digital media and virtual education were being introduced little by little in the way education was being carried out, however, not all places had access to this technology, it was used in most cases as a support tool to improve educational processes, but as a result of the World Pandemic this changed and education took a 360-degree turn in a very short time, technology infrastructures had to be improved both by the Governments as well as universities and other educational establishments began to make use of virtual platforms, interactive whiteboards and a number of tools that previously were not being fully exploited. The public educational institutions of Ecuador decided to assume this time and did not stop their work in a very short time, the use of virtual tools was implemented, teachers, administrative students, support staff were trained in the use of these new technologies. This work intends to identify the challenges that Higher Education institutions had in the face of the change from face-to-face to virtual education, carrying out an evaluation of the virtual education process through methodologies. Embora seja verdade que a tecnologia, as mídias digitais e a educação virtual foram sendo introduzidas aos poucos na forma como a educação estava sendo realizada, no entanto, nem todos os locais tinham acesso a essa tecnologia, ela foi utilizada na maioria das vezes como ferramenta de apoio para melhorar processos educacionais, mas como resultado da Pandemia Mundial isso mudou e a educação deu um giro de 360 graus em muito pouco tempo, as infraestruturas tecnológicas tiveram que ser melhoradas tanto pelos governos quanto pelas universidades e outros estabelecimentos de ensino começaram a fazer uso de plataformas virtuais, lousas interativas e uma série de ferramentas que antes não eram totalmente exploradas. As instituições públicas de ensino do Equador decidiram assumir esse tempo e não interromperam seu trabalho em muito pouco tempo, o uso de ferramentas virtuais foi implementado, professores, alunos administrativos, pessoal de apoio foram treinados no uso dessas novas tecnologias. Este trabalho pretende identificar os desafios que as instituições de Ensino Superior tiveram diante da mudança do ensino presencial para o virtual, realizando uma avaliação do processo de ensino virtual por meio de metodologias.
