Tumor del estroma gastrointestinal: a propósito de un caso

73-year-old woman with a history of high blood pressure and hypertriglyceridemia. He went to the emergency department for abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting of 5 days of evolution. It presents regular general state, hypotension, tachycardia and in the physical examination generalized abdominal pain with peritoneal irritation in the mesogastrium. The analysis highlights 20,600 leukocytes / µL, C-reactive protein 524mg / L. An urgent abdominal CAT scan was performed, describing a jejunal segment mass located in the hypogastric with thickening and parietal enhancement, pneumoperitoneum bubbles and free fluid, suggestive of perforation. An urgent surgical intervention was decided, a mid infraumbilical laparotomy was performed with the presence of a 10-cm mass dependent on the left tube infiltrating a segment of the small intestine less than one centimeter, proceeding with a left salpingo-oophorectomy and atypical intestinal resection. The clinical evolution in the postoperative period was favorable. The pathological result was: a well-defined gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), with a size of 10x8x7cm, CD117 + and mitotic count
