Situación Ambiental en la comunidad “El Molino”, Consejo Popular Sur de Los Palacios

The concern for the environment has been present in humanity for all generations; Hence, current environmental problems constitute one of the greatest concerns and their solution depends on human existence itself. The present investigation is aimed at the environment and environmental education as a favorable outlet at the present time, which is based on a series of environmental problems detected in the "El Molino" community, of the Los Palacios municipality, with the objective of determining through a diagnosis the environmental problems of the community. In the study, in addition to characterizing the community, it was used as theoretical methods: the historical - logical method, analysis - synthesis. As an empirical method: observation, the ethnographic one and as research techniques: the survey, documentary analysis and standardized interview, to obtain information and knowledge. The results show the environmental situation of the community, being the environmental contamination due to the inappropriate dumping of solid waste, based on the theoretical arguments, the results of the diagnosis and the environmental problems identified. The objective proposal is based, being able to contribute to the Community environmental education aimed at preserving the environment, through the awareness and active participation of its inhabitants, in addition, the implementation of the EnvironmentalEducation System can be extended to other communities with similar characteristics and environmental problems. La preocupación por el entorno ha estado presente en la humanidad por todas las generaciones; de ahí que los problemas ambientales actuales constituyen una de las mayores preocupaciones y su solución depende de la propia existencia humana. Al medio ambiente y a la educación ambiental está dirigida la presente investigación, que parte de una serie de problemáticas ambientales detectadas en la comunidad “El Molino”, del municipio Los Palacios, teniendo como objetivo determinar a través de un diagnóstico la problemática ambiental de la comunidad. En el estudio además de caracterizar la comunidad, se utilizó como métodos teóricos: el método histórico - lógico, análisis - síntesis.
