Gestión de la información para mejorar los procesos en los sectores comunitarios y productivos de la provincia de Cotopaxi

In the province of Cotopaxi, a situation of lack of adequate projection in terms of technological updating is identified, especially in the use and development of computer applications, which leads to activities in the community and productive sectors being affected. The absence of information systems in the organization and planning of production, together with the low productivity and profitability of the activities, are some of the elements that have made the development of the research project possible. Its general objective is to analyze the information management processes developed to improve the community and productive sectors through the application of technological tools in the province of Cotopaxi. The study has a descriptive scope, with a non-experimental design and a mixed approach. It was developed in Latacunga, Ecuador between October 2017 and 2021. The fundamental results obtained show that the implementation of technological tools enables an increase in the number of students that exist for each period by canton and by modules, which go from service activities to the community to pre-professional practice activities, which has a high impact on the development of the different sectors in the province of Cotopaxi. The conclusions allow to affirm that the four proposed stages in the application of technological tools had a high impact in the province of Cotopaxi, which shows the high relevance of information technologies in the improvement of processes in all activities of the society. En la provincia de Cotopaxi se identifica una situación de carencia de una adecuada proyección en cuanto a actualización tecnológica, especialmente en el uso y desarrollo de aplicaciones informáticas, lo que conlleva a que se vean afectadas las actividades en los sectores comunitarios y productivos. La ausencia de sistemas de información en la organización y planificación de la producción, unido a la baja productividad y rentabilidad de las actividades, son algunos de los elementos que han hecho posible el desarrollo del proyecto de investigación.
