El arte de comprender en la hermenéutica de Friedrich Schleiermacher

The following article aims in analyzing, critically, the romantic hermeneutics developed by Friedrich Schleiermacher (1768-1834) and show its relevance to the phenomenon of interpretation. In the first place, the germinal context of his work and his influential philosophical position in the nineteenth century will be taken into account; in the second place, the generalization of “understanding” (Verstehen) and double understanding as a philosophical method; and finally, the historicity of their thinking and their consequences for contemporary hermeneutical reflection. El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar, de manera crítica, la hermenéutica romántica desarrollada por Friedrich Schleiermacher (1768-1834) y mostrar su actualidad para el fenómeno de la interpretación. En primer lugar, se tomó en cuenta el contexto germinal de su obra y su influyente posición filosófica en el siglo XIX; en segundo lugar, la generalización del “comprender” (Verstehen) y la comprensión doble como método filosófico; y finalmente, la historicidad de su pensamiento y sus consecuencias para la reflexión hermenéutica contemporánea.
