Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this study was to identify the professional competencies developed by physical education teachers in training, during the application of outdoor activities. Method, a case study, participated were nine undergraduate students in physical education, two of them had previous experiences in outdoor activities. A didactic sequence based on the Adventure Education methodology was used. Data was collected by video recording, and the analysis of the data obtained was processed by the elements of grounded theory through the Atlas Ti software. The results showed four professional competencies favored during the application of the didactic sequence: 1) teamwork and leadership, 2) conceptual domain of Adventure Education, 3) technical domain of recreational outdoor activities, and 4) pedagogy and didactics of the physical education in outdoor activities; additionally, it was found that males participated more than females during the activities. It was also possible to identify competencies that were not considered in the academic planning of teachers, leading to the conclusion that Adventure Education programs can strengthen the training of physical education students. O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar as competências profissionais desenvolvidas por professores de educação física em formação, durante a aplicação de atividades no ambiente natural. Método, estudo de caso com nove alunos de graduação em educação física, apenas dois deles com experiências anteriores em atividades no ambiente natural. Foi utilizada uma sequência didática baseada na metodologia Adventure Education. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de gravação em vídeo, a análise foi realizada utilizando elementos da teoria fundamentada no software Atlas Ti. Os resultados revelaram quatro competências profissionais favorecidas durante a aplicação da sequência didática: 1) trabalho em equipe e liderança, 2) domínio conceitual da Educação de Aventura, 3) domínio técnico das atividades lúdicas no ambiente natural e 4) pedagogia e didática da Educação Física em atividades ao ar livre; além disso, verificou-se que durante as atividades os homens foram mais participativos do que as mulheres. Foi possível identificar competências que não foram consideradas no planejamento acadêmico dos professores, levando à conclusão de que programas de Educação de Aventura podem fortalecer a formação de alunos de Educação Física.
