With the growing contamination of the world population with the coronavirus (Covid-19), as well as the high number of deaths, governments, scientists, who seek solutions to 98alleviate the situation are concerned, quarantine has been essential to combat and reduce contamination by Covid -19. The performance of selective collection professionals is an essential activity at such a critical and insecure moment, and must be valued for the provision of their services. In this context, the present research was carried out with the objective of diagnosing the situation of waste pickers in several countries in the current pandemic of COVID 19, in order to elucidate the current scenario of selective collection worldwide.
