Zusammenfassung:On the one hand, an approach is made to the hypothesis of the etymological evolution of the term heart, which is irregular considering its original Latin COR,CORDIS. On the other hand, an analysis of its semantic conception has been carried out, so varied in its meanings throughout history. Cognitivism seems to shed light on the subjectivity implied by the nature of the term in question: to be all heart, to have a heart of gold, among many others.
