Zusammenfassung:The aim of the research was to relate the psychological well-being and academic performance of new students with a bachelor’s degree in Administration from the Tejupilco Professional Academic Unit of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico during the period 2019B, The population consisted of 51 students of both sexes. To describe psychological well-being, the Ryff scale (1989) adapted to the Spanish population was applied by Díaz et al (2006), the average quality of the dimensions of self-acceptance, the positive relations with the others, the autonomy, the dominion of the environment, purpose in life and personal growth; academic performance was obtained from academic background. The information was processed with the SPSS statistical package, calculating percentages of the degree of psychological well-being and Pearson’s correlation. For self-acceptance 34.4% of the students presented low level, 40.6% moderate level and 25% high level. Regarding positive relationships with others, 43.8% of the students exhibited low level, 25% moderate level and 31.2% high level. For the autonomy 40.6% of the student population showed low level of psychological well-being, 31.3% moderate level and 28.1% high level. Regarding the domain of the environment, students expressed 40.6% low level, 31.8% moderate level and finally 28.1% high level. Regarding the purpose for life, 37.5% of the student population declared low level, 31.3% moderate level and 31.2% high level. For personal growth, they had low, moderate and high levels with values of 34.4, 40.6 and 25% respectively. There is a highly significant correlation (P≤0.01) between the dimensions positive relationships with others, autonomy, dominance of the environment, personal growth and academic performance. There is no significant correlation (P≤0.05) between the dimensions self-acceptance, purpose for life and academic performance. La investigación tuvo como objetivo relacionar el bienestar psicológico y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de nuevo ingreso de la licenciatura en Administración de la Unidad Académica Profesional Tejupilco dependiente de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México durante el período 2019B, la población estuvo formada por 51 estudiantes de ambos sexos.
