Zusammenfassung:OBJECTIVE. To characterize diabetes risk behaviors in adolescent overweighed and obsessed women that study in a junior public high school of sub urban zone of Merida, Yucatan. Methodology. Descriptive-Correlational with a sample of 50 female overweighed or obsessed adolescents who study in a public junior high school. Anthropometry data was quantified and clinical data. Self-esteem, anxiety-eating behaviors, family screening, body image perception tests were applied. Subsequently, the data was analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. RESULTS. Adolescents in the study have an average age of 13,34 years (standard deviation of 1,02 years) 46% overweight and 54% have obesity. 74% have low self-esteem, 16% severe anxiety, 74% severe familial dysfunctions and 48% have a poor perception of their body image. It was also found that cardiovascular risk diseases increases proportionally to the body image perception of the individuals (p= 0.031), the presence of acanthosis is associated with waist circumference (p=0.031) and anxiety increases according to poor family dynamics (p=0.027). CONCLUSION. Findings of the study indicate that the main risk behaviors in adolescents are overweight and obesity, moderate-severe anxiety, low self-esteem, it is necessary the intervention of nursing in the school environment to decrease the impact of Factors and prevent some chronic condition. Objetivo: Caracterizar las conductas de riesgo para diabetes en adolescentes mujeres con sobrepeso u obesidad de una secundaria pública de una zona suburbana de Mérida, Yucatán. Metodología: Descriptivo-Correlacional con una muestra de 50 adolescentes mujeres de una secundaria pública con sobrepeso u obesidad, se cuantificó la antropometría, y datos clínicos, medición de la autoestima, ansiedad, comportamientos alimentarios, tamizaje familiar, percepción de imagen corporal; posteriormente los datos se analizaron con estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Resultados: Las adolescentes del estudio cuentan con una media de edad de 13,34 años (desviación estándar de 1,02 años), 46% con sobrepeso y 54% tiene obesidad. El 74% tiene autoestima baja, 16% ansiedad severa, 74% disfuncionalidad familiar grave y 48% posee una mala percepción de su imagen corporal. Se encontró que el riesgo cardiovascular aumenta de manera proporcional a la percepción de la imagen corporal (p=0.031), la presencia de acantosis se asocia con la circunferencia de cintura (p=0.031) y la ansiedad aumenta conforme la
