Zusammenfassung: | In oiticica producing regions, there is a lack of technical guidance to improve the quality and
performance of oiticica, especially its main product: the oil. One interesting topic for those who are engaged on the
economic use of this culture is the moment of the fruit collection with higher oil yield, because after fruit maturity,
they fall to the ground and, as soon as they were collected and extracted the oil, it would get a higher yield, resulting
in one of the factors responsible for the success of this culture. For this purpose, it was aimed to evaluate the
influence of harvesting on the chemical and mineral composition of almonds oiticica, from the city of Pombal, PB,
after going through 7 days (week), 30 days (month) and 365 days (year) in storage. We used a completely
randomized design with four replications. At the Soil Science and Plant Nutrition Laboratory (LSNP), Embrapa
Cotton, Campina Grande, PB was determined: water content, oil content, protein, ash, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P),
potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) and sulfur (S) from seeds collected in the agricultural year of 2012, in
which the data were analyzed in a completely randomized design with eight replications, and the averages were
compared with Tukey test. Based on the results obtained it was concluded that: the oil yield (%) decreases with
storage time, and the amounts of N, Ca, S showed high concentration for fruit stored during 7 days.
