Zusammenfassung: | Higher education institution shave the constant challenge of forging young professionals with an entrepreneurial vision so that they respond pertinently to the social problem. This research describes the internal and external factors of the university context that positively influence the development of an entrepreneurial attitude in university students. For this purpose, a descriptive investigation with a transversal approach was used, considering external context variables such as: political and legal conditions; and, variables of the internal context such as: university infrastructure, curricula and exclusive entrepreneurial activities. The participants under study were 200 students from four Faculties or Academic Units of the Technical University of Babahoyo (U.T.B.). Students see positively the government policy that supports entrepreneurial initiatives. Similarly, it was determined that the university does promote entrepreneurship through a strategic unit, called the Center for Entrepreneurship and Production (C.E.P). One of the relevant results is the perception that students have, since 87.50% consider that the programs and projects of entrepreneurship executed by the C.E.P., provide the space for the generation of innovative social solutions. Based on a comparative analysis of the IDEAS UTB contest, from 2017 to 2019 of the student intervention in this event of entrepreneurship and social innovation, it was concluded, there is an increase of 83.93%, that is, a significant growing trend.
Las instituciones de educación superior tienen el reto constante de forjar jóvenes profesionales con visión emprendedora para que den respuesta pertinente a la problemática social. En la presente investigación se describe los factores internos y externos del contexto universitario que influyen positivamente en el desarrollo de una actitud emprendedora en los estudiantes universitarios. Para este efecto se utilizó una investigación descriptiva con enfoque transversal, considerando variables del contexto externo como: las condiciones políticos y legales; y, variables del contexto interno como: infraestructura universitaria, planes de estudio y actividades exclusivas de emprendimiento. Los participantes objeto de estudio fueron 200 estudiantes de cuatro Facultades o Unidades Académicas de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo (UTB).
