Estrategia de cambio. Departamento de investigación y posgrado. Facultad de Ciencias Médicas “General Calixto García”

Objective: to elaborate a strategy of change in the Department of Research and Postgraduate of the Faculty of Medical Sciences “General Calixto García” of the Municipality Plaza de la Revolución, which allowed in the period from 2013 to 2018, to achieve a teaching of excellence. Method: a development investigation was carried out that began with an exploratory study in 2013 and the results of the initial diagnosis were described through the SWOT matrix. Later the change strategy was applied. Results: a previous diagnosis and the SWOT matrix were obtained. The strategic diagnosis was made by areas of key results, identifying barriers, values, groups involved, strategic objectives and action plan. Conclusions: the Faculty of Medical Sciences “General Calixto García” develops teaching in the three levels of health care and the application of the change strategy, with a contextualized approach that allowed to find answers of greater relevance, raising the quality of the postgraduate and the investigations for the overcoming of the professionals of the Faculty Objetivo: elaborar una estrategia de cambio en el Departamento de Investigación y Posgrado de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas “General Calixto García” del Municipio Plaza de la Revolución, que permitiera en el periodo desde el 2013 hasta 2018, alcanzar una docencia de excelencia. Método: se realizó una investigación de desarrollo que inició con un estudio de tipo exploratorio en el año 2013 y se procedió a describir los resultados del diagnóstico inicial a través de la matriz DAFO. Más tarde se aplicó la estrategia de cambio. Resultados: se obtuvo un diagnóstico previo y la matriz DAFO. Se realizó el diagnóstico estratégico por áreas de resultados clave, identificando barreras, valores, grupos implicados, objetivos estratégicos y plan de acción. Conclusiones: la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas “General Calixto García” desarrolla la docencia en los tres niveles de atención de salud y la aplicación de la estrategia de cambio, con un enfoque contextualizado que permitió encontrar respuestas de mayor pertinencia, elevando la calidad del posgrado y las investigaciones para la superación de los profesionales de la Facultad.
