Zusammenfassung: | Objective: To identify the most common skin disorders affecting children aged 0-14 years old in an urban primary healthcare.
Methodology: A cross-sectional descriptive and retrospective study. Study population included all users aged 0-14 years old, visited from first of January 2017 to 31st of December 2017. Study variables included sociodemographic data, data from the dermatological diagnosis and from the referrals to other healthcare services.
Results: 26.469 users aged 0-14 years old were attended in the Primary Healthcare Centre in 2017, from which 1.472 were diagnosed a dermatological condition. Average age was 5.62 years, with a male prevalence (53.1%). Paedia-tricians were the healthcare professionals who diagnosed the most (83.3%), followed by nurses (14.4%). 39 different dermatological conditions were diagnosed. Those were classified in 7 categories, resulting irritative skin conditions (21.9%) the most common, followed by viral skin infections (20,2%). The most diagnosed derma-tological condition was impetigo (11.3%). A 3.6% of the users were prescribed a referral to the specialized dermatological healthcare service of the area. Warts were the condition that was re-ferred the most to the specialized healthcare ser-vice (19.6%).
Conclusions: Knowing the most usual dermato-logical conditions, the referrals made, and the professionals involved in the diagnosis of these conditions, has been useful to detect weak-nesses in clinical pathways, so this study becomes an opportunity to reorganize healthcare attention according to professional competencies, improving the access to the community to Primary Care.
Objetivo: Identificar las lesiones dermatológicas más frecuentes en niños/as en edad compren-dida entre 0 y 14 años en un centro de atención primaria urbano.
Metodología: Estudio descriptivo transversal retrospectivo. La población de estudio incluyó a todos los usuarios entre 0 y 14 años atendidos entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 2017. Las variables de estudio incluyeron datos socio-demográficos, datos relativos al diagnóstico dermatológico y las derivaciones a otros ámbitos. Estadística descriptiva.
Resultados: Durante el año 2017 se atendieron un total de 26.469 consultas de personas entre 0 y 14 años, de las que 1.472 personas fueron diagnosticadas de lesiones dermatológicas.
