Zusammenfassung: | Introduction. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic degenerative diseases that occurs most frequently in the world's population, to the extent considered a pandemic with upward trend. For the evaluation of educational intervention program was present theory of auto care Orem, which was present the expectations of patients at the time of designing and implementing the program. Objective. Propose a model for the design and implementation of educational intervention programmes bearing in mind the perception of patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Methodology. Quasi-experimental. The population was 36 patients it was used a questionnaire that evaluated the main needs of the patients and their perception about the workshops and other activities. Results. The age of patients tilt the 36 to 83 years with a median of 63 years. The Spearman coefficient threw a direct relationship between the usefulness of the workshops with the dynamics and understanding in a (0,670) with a p-value < 0.05. Conclusions. The perception of patients in relation to strategies provided before, during of the intervention program helped to determine the factors that predispose the excellent assimilation and implementation of elements related to self care in patients with Diabetes Mellitus type II. |
