A fotografia como recurso sensibilizador em/para a Educação Ambiental

Currently lives in a permanent context of degradation of the environment and its ecosystems, where development is more and more tied to the destruction of natural environments. Thus, it is neccesary that environmental education seeks to find new ways and devices to treat/ discuss environmental issues. The image is one of the main forms of human beings communication (PETERMANN, 2006) and primordial for reading and understanding of the world (Mussoi, 2008). So it has been used as a new way and approach to deal with environmental issues. The proposed work aims to understand what kind of photography, discussed in this study contribute more effectively to sensibilization processes for environmental issues.The work will be a qualitative study of phenomenological nature. The execution of the study will follow these steps: 1) at first will be displayed photographs to the research subjects-students of 3rd semester of integrated technical course in visual communication from the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina, campus Palhoça-bilingue. Will be used at this point four tools to search of information: a)shoot the students; b)observation forms; c)questionare and d)focus group.The information will be interpreted under the Merleau-Ponty phenomenology. 2) In the second phase will be performed a pesquisa-ação where the subjects will be encouraged to take ownership of the research problem and seek possible ways to solve the same. Atualmente, vive-se em um contexto de degradação permanente do meio ambiente e de seus ecossistemas, em que o desenvolvimento está cada vez mais ligado à destruição dos ambientes naturais. Assim, faz-se necessário que a Educação Ambiental busque e encontre novas maneiras, meios e dispositivos para tratar/discutir a questão ambiental. A imagem é uma das principais formas de comunicação dos seres humanos (PETERMANN, 2006) e fundamental na leitura e compreensão do mundo (MUSSOI, 2008). Por isso, vem sendo utilizada como nova forma e abordagem para tratar a questão ambiental. O trabalho proposto objetiva compreender que tipo de fotografia, abordado neste estudo, contribui mais efetivamente para processos de sensibilização à questão ambiental.
