Zusammenfassung: | This study is an examination of school practices in the Lower Secondary School in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the decades from the 1920s to 1970s. Conclusions are drawn from the collating of evidence (manuscript, printed, oral and iconographic) with the social historical context of the time in which: the teaching methodology was traditional, consolidation of a social representation of the quality of teaching of the ancient Gymnasium (with a humanistic character and concern with morals, discipline e good habits); the school as the social, sporting and cultural center of the city with the civic dates being highly commemorated. In this way, the emphasis on civic education and patriotism was added to a humanistic content connected with the dissemination of socially accepted moral principles.
Il s’agit de l’examen des pratiques scolaires effectuées au Ginásio Mineiro de Uberlância, à Minas Gerais, Brésil, dans la période comprise entre les décades de 1920 et 1970. On conclut de la confrontation des évidences (manuscrites, imprimées, orales et iconographiques) avec le contexte sócio-historique de l’époque: la méthodologie de l’enseignement dans la période était traditionnelle, la consolidation d’une représentation sociale de la qualité del’enseignement de l’ancien lycée (avec un caractère humaniste et la préoccupation avec la morale, la discipline et les bonnes moeurs), la compréhension de l’école comme un centre social, sportif et culturel de la ville, ou les dates historiques sont três commémorées. De cette façon, au contenu humaniste, lié à la dissémination de príncipes moraux acceptés socialment, on additionait le relief au civisme et au patriotisme.
Trata-se do exame das práticas escolares efetivadas no Ginásio Mineiro de Uberlândia, em Minas Gerais, Brasil, no período compreendido entre as décadas de 1920 e de 1970. Depreende-se do cotejamento das evidências (manuscritas, impressas, orais e iconográficas) com o contexto sócio-histórico da época que: a metodologia de ensino no período era tradicional; a consolidação de uma representação social da qualidade do ensino do antigo Ginásio (com caráter humanístico e com preocupação com a moral, a disciplina e os bons costumes); o entendimento da escola como centro social, esportivo e cultural da cidade, sendo as datas cívicas muito comemoradas.
