Zusammenfassung: | Heritage of Portuguese Culinary in Brazil as a Product of Cultural Tourism. The
Portuguese and the Brazilian cultures have a long historical relationship that has developed since
colonisation until nowadays, through tourism, immigration, literature, music, gastronomy... Concerning
gastronomy, much from the Portuguese heritage can be found in Brazilian cuisine, and the
Portuguese settler adapted himself to what these lands had to offer. This adaptation has been
expressed in many dishes with Portuguese roots that underwent some transformations in Brazil. From
the existing relationship between these two cultures in the gastronomy field, it is revealed that many of
the dishes taken to Brazil by the Portuguese were brought to Portugal by other peoples. From an
extensive literature review, a general analysis of these two cuisines is presented with the aim of

cultural and gastronomic tourism route, called Portuguese Gastronomy Route .
