Zusammenfassung: | With the objective of determining the correlations among the quality of the orange fruit and the macronutrients, considering
the balance among the nutrients through binary relationships; thirty orange trees (Citrus sinensis L. (Osb.) cv. 'Valencia'
grafted on mandarin 'Cleopatra' were selected in a 20 year-old orchard, in the town of Nirgua, in Yaracuy state. In each
plant were collected 12 samples of 12 fruits each and were determined: fresh mass, peel thickness, juice percentage, total
titratable acidity (TTA), total soluble solids (TSS) and the ratio (TSS/TTA). Fifteen foliar samples were collected to
determine the concentration of the essential elements. Later on, the binary relationships (that is to say: concentration of
element A x concentration of element B, concentration of element A/concentration of element B; and concentration of
element B/concentration of element A) among all macronutrients concentrations and with the rest of the elements were
calculated. The Pearson correlation for quality variables and the macroelements concentration was evaluated, and also for
quality variables and all binary relationships calculated. Alone two significant correlations was obtained among the
macronutrients concentration and the variables of quality, which were between K and TSS, and between S and maturity
index. Twenty-seven binary relationships were correlated with quality variables in significant or highly significant shape.
The binary relationships explained the data quality variables better than macronutrients foliar concentrations.
Con el objeto de determinar las correlaciones entre la calidad de la fruta del naranjo y los macronutrimentos a nivel foliar,
considerando el balance entre los nutrimentos a través de relaciones binarias; se realizó un muestreo en un huerto en la
localidad de Nirgua, estado Yaracuy, en 30 plantas, de 20 años de edad, de naranjo Valencia injertadas sobre mandarino
Cleopatra . En cada planta se tomaron 12 muestras de 12 frutas cada una, a las que se le determinó: masa fresca, espesor de
cáscara, porcentaje de zumo, acidez total titulable (ATT), sólidos solubles totales (SST) y el índice de madurez (SST/ATT).
Además, se colectaron 15 muestras de tejido foliar para determinar la concentración de los macroelementos esenciales y se
calcularon, como producto o cociente, todas las relaciones binarias (es decir: Concentración de elemento A x Concentración
