Aportes creativos: femeninos en la pintura y la ilustración

The Art History, as a discipline, has underestimated systematically the female creative contributions along different times, a particular circumstance which lasted significantly almost until the very beginning of the Twentieth Century. This absence has not been fully justified and there have been assorted pieces of research work carried out from the seventies, which have made us realize that there is a magnificent huge list of women who have taken an active place in the artistic as well as the cultural development within their times. This article aims to get closer to some of these women and highlight their remarkable contributions as it were. La Historia del Arte, como disciplina, ha subestimado sistemáticamente la contribución de la creatividad femenina a lo largo de diferentes épocas, una circunstancia particular, que se prolongó significativamente hasta casi el inicio del siglo veinte. Esta ausencia no ha sido plenamente justificada y han sido diversas las piezas de trabajo de investigación llevadas a cabo desde los años setenta, que nos han hecho conscientes de que hay una lista magnífica y enorme de mujeres que han tomado un lugar activo en el ámbito artístico, así como en el desarrollo cultural de su época. Este artículo pretende acercarse a algunas de estas mujeres y destacar sus contribuciones notables por así decirlo.
