Zusammenfassung:These data are from a fish feeds project in Kenya that attempted to decrease small-scale fish farmers' reliance on fish meal. This project showed that the use of on-farm Agricultural byproducts can be used to formulate low cost fish diet for nile tilapia. These data resulted in a technology to demonstrate that small-scale fish farmers can replace up to about 80% fish meal with local ingredients in tilapia diet without compromising growth performance. Farmers benefit more by lowering feed cost a major component in aquaculture production systems
