Zusammenfassung:The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted education, affecting teachers' routines and mental health. Most universities have shifted to remote classes. This study aims to evaluate the psychometric adequacy of the Teachers' Remote Work Context Assessment Scale (TRWCAS) for university teachers and to determine the prevalence and predictors of common mental disorders (CMDs) in this sample. A total of 235 teachers from a public university in Northeast Brazil participated in the study using a convenience sampling method. The study utilized the Self-Report Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20), the TRWCAS, and inquiries about participants' pandemic experiences and teachers' demographics. The adaptation of the TRWCAS for university teachers demonstrated psychometric validity, with evidence from exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency, and convergent validity. The study found that 38.3% of teachers had CMDs. The results showed that individuals who were white, experienced a decrease in income during the pandemic, or were in the risk group for COVID-19 had higher mean CMDs scores. Younger participants and those with a more negative perception of work organization also had higher CMDs scores.
