Zusammenfassung: | For sustainable development of the innovative approach toward raising the productivity of rice and fish production in Ebonyi and Kebbi Nigeria, it is important to document the performance of the two different integrated farming systems examined by analyzing the comparative biological productivity, bioenergetic efficiencies and natural food resources variability in rice-fish farming (African catfish) under the two different ecological arrangements in Nigeria.
In this study, the basic biological production processes related to the alternative food chains created through various nutrient flow in the integrated fish and rice farming will be examined. In addition, this study identify core influencing factors of technical efficiency in order to explain the possibilities of increasing productivity and profitability of rice and fish by increasing efficiency at the selected sites in the Kebbi and Ebonyi states. This lead to identification of various technical progress policy that would be recommended to help decision makers increase the rice and fish productivity in Nigeria. |
