The changes in mRNA levels of six genes following UV irradiation were analyzed by quantitative RT-PCR to provide an independent confirmation of the microarray data. The logexpression values for (closed triangles), (closed circles), (closed squares), (open squares), (open circles) and (open triangles) obtained from microarray and RT-PCR analyses are plotted on the x and y axes, respectively. The data obtained from the two methods yield a linear fit with a slope of 0.93 and R-value of 0.91.
