Zusammenfassung:Data and R code to reproduce results of our paper "Environmental and taxonomic controls of carbon and oxygen stable isotope composition in Sphagnum across broad climatic and geographic ranges" published in Biogeosciences.Data on Sphagnum tissue δ18O and δ13C from 93 sites across North America and Eurasia for Sphagnum magellanicum coll. and S. fuscum. In total 337 samples with associated GPS coordinates. In addition, data on Sphagnum productivity, water table, climate (precipitation, temperature, evapotranspiration from NASA GESDISC data archive), elevation and modelled δ18O in precipitation (from www.waterisotopes.org) for different periods. Monthly modelled δ18O in precipitation is also given in a separate file.
