Zusammenfassung: | DCIS constituted less than 5% of malignant breast lesions before the start of mammographic screening, currently in developed countries DCIS corresponds to 20-25% of carcinomas detected in breast screening and is considered by many as a premalignant lesion Objective: investigate whether treatment (surgery, radiation therapy, and endocrine therapy) contributes to outcomes of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in a Latin /Hispanic Cohort. Materials and Methods: The analysis included 301 Hispanic women diagnosed with DCIS between 2008 and 2015 and identified in breast cáncer Registry. Logistic regression models were used to estimate odds ratios (ORs) of treatment. We used Cox proportional hazards regression models to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) of ipsilateral breast tumor (IBT) |
