S and AS transcripts detection and Msx1 protein expression from E9

Published by Oxford University Press. All rights reserved5 to E14.5 in mouse anterior limb bud. Both transcripts of were detected by whole mount hybridization in wild-type mouse embryos. Msx1 protein expression was detected by the β-galactosidase activity in heterozygote mouse embryos. The AS transcript was detected in limb bud at E10.5 and E11.5 but not at E9.5 (, and ). Its detections territories edged the S transcript and protein detection territories (, , , , and ). At E14.5, AS transcript and protein show complementary expression pattern ( and ).
