Zusammenfassung: | Copyright information:Taken from "Recording long-term potentiation of synaptic transmission by three-dimensional multi-electrode arrays"BMC Neuroscience 2006;7():61-61.Published online 30 Aug 2006PMCID:PMC1574331.mice. During TPS, amplitude of stimulation was 1.5× of the baseline strength. In the first five minutes following TPS, a transient depression was seen in both control and test pathways (see ). Therefore, first five records after TPS were omitted from the plot for clarity. In some cases, TPS did not produce persistent facilitation of fEPSP amplitude that returned to baseline levels after 60 min. However, we pooled data from all slices that exhibited pronounced complex spikes during TPS (see ). B) Inhibition of NMDA receptors by 50 μM -AP5 led to a significant attenuation of TBS-induced LTP in 5 slices from 129S5 mice. Average amplitude of normalised fEPSP 60 min after TBS was significantly less in -AP5-treated slices compared to untreated 129S5 cohort (110 ± 9% vs. 138 ± 20 %; = -3.25; < 0.01). |
