Zusammenfassung: | Crickets, with over 2,400 described species, are emerging as significant model organisms due to their diversity, global distribution, regenerative abilities, and unique acoustic communication. Here, we present the assembly and annotation of the first New World cricket genome, specifically that of Gryllus longicercus. The genome assembly comprises 1.85Gb distributed across 1,571 scaffolds. Our annotation has identified 19,715 transcripts corresponding to 14,789 gene models. |
