Zusammenfassung:This is a report of the activities of the 'Infecting Minds' interdisciplinary project focusing on vaccine hesitancy (2022-2024).The aims of this programme were to investigate beliefs, experiences, perceptions and behaviours relevant to vaccine acceptance or vaccine hesitancy, considering perspectives based on the past, present and future landscape of vaccines, and accounting for the cultural, religious and historical backdrop in the UK and in South Africa. Our team comprised experts in history, theology, ethics, social sciences, laboratory sciences and clinical medicine, working closely with school teachers, artists and experts in public engagement and science communication. This project is a collaboration between Oxford University and the Francis Crick Institute in the UK, and the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) in South Africa.
