Enzymatic b-elimination in natural product O- and C-glycoside deglycosylation

Here, the authors show convergent evolution of -eliminase active sites for the cleavage of natural product 3-keto-O-glycosides. C-Glycoside cleavage is a specialized feature of this active site elicited by finely tuned enzyme-aglycone interactions.
