Zusammenfassung:Image 1: A diagram showing the three main layers of the solar corona. [Image Description: Semicircles of increasing size and various shades of red, orange and yellow are centred to the left of a black background. Shapes with pointy triangle-shaped edges of increasing size and various shades of orange are also centred on the semicircles. Arrows with labels point to the shapes with pointy edges. Going outwards from left to right, these labels read: ‘K-Corona’, ‘F-Corona’, and ‘E-Corona’. Pointing at these labels is another label that reads ‘Corona’.] Image 2: A diagram showing the representation of the main processes of light transfer, taking place in each layer of the corona to space. [Image Description: The image is split into three main curved sections, each a different shape of orange. At the bottom on a black background is a key for the diagram. This consists of various shapes and text, which are described as follows. White circles with black lines in the centre represent ‘electrons’. Brown cloud-like shapes represent ‘dust’. White ovals overlapping at different angles, but centred on a small white circle, represents an ‘ionised atom’. Wiggly and straight arrows represent ‘light’. The first section of the diagram has many of the white circles randomly spread out. Red wiggly arrows point between these circles in the general direction of left to right, until one touches a brown cloud. In the second section, blue wiggly arrows point between the brown clouds. In the third and final curved section a wiggly light blue arrow points into the black background. There are also overlapping ovals centred on the small circle in this section, with straight light blue arrows also pointing into the background.]
