Zusammenfassung: | This systematic literature review (SLR) using meta-analysis aimed to identify the key drivers, barriers, and strategies for promoting sustainable consumption behavior in the transition towards a green economy in Society 5.0. The study utilized Scopus and Web of Science databases to search for relevant articles published between 2010 and 2022. A total of 65 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The results showed that technological innovation and the availability of sustainable products and services are key drivers for promoting sustainable consumption behavior in Society 5.0. Additionally, social norms and cultural values were found to play a significant role in shaping sustainable consumption behavior. Education and awareness-raising were identified as important strategies for promoting sustainable consumption behavior among consumers. However, several barriers to sustainable consumption behavior were identified, including the lack of availability and accessibility of sustainable products and services, the higher cost of sustainable options, and the lack of awareness and education among consumers. Moreover, policy interventions, such as green taxation and subsidies, were found to be crucial for promoting sustainable consumption behavior and facilitating the transition towards a green economy in Society 5.0. The study has important implications for policy and practice. It highlights the need for collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders, including governments, businesses, and civil society organizations, to promote sustainable consumption behavior and facilitate the transition towards a green economy. The findings suggest that policies and interventions should focus on increasing the availability and accessibility of sustainable products and services, reducing the cost of sustainable options, and raising awareness and educating consumers about sustainable consumption behavior. The study has some limitations, including the focus on English language publications and the exclusion of studies with a sample size of less than 50 participants. Future research could expand the scope of the study to include non-English language publications and studies with smaller sample sizes. Additionally, more research is needed on the effectiveness of policy interventions and incentives in promoting sustainable consumption behavior in Society 5.0. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the current state of research on sustainable consumpti |
