Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:This file set includes tables and figures related to a database for morphogeometric information of trilobites: 1. Fig.1: Flow diagram illustrating the main workflow: (1) Landmark protocol, (2) main table that contains specimen-level traits and contextual characteristics (‘data.csv’), (3) PBDB + TriloMorph, (4) Generalised Procrustes analysis, (5) Analyses: variety of analytical tools to quantify shape variation, (6) results: with this database and protocol it is possible to construct a morphospace to visualise patterns of shape variation in trilobites, carry out group comparative analyses or study disparity trends. Abbreviations: LM: landmark; Taxonomic Hierarchical str.: Taxonomic Hierarchical structure; SoR: sum of ranges; SoV: sum of variances; NDD: Nearest neighbour distance; PCA: principal component analysis. 2. Fig.2: Template of landmarks and semilandmarks curves used in the TriloMorph database illustrated on three different genera. Figures adapted from Gon III (2009), used with permission. 3. Main_table.pdf: table designed to contain specimen-level traits for the considered taxa. In this table file we define each field, describing the specimen-based table of contextual information (* mandatory fields for subsequent classical analyses). 4. Landmark_protocol.pdf: this file includes the definition of the landmarks and semilandmark curves for the cephalon and pygidium. 5. List of 7 figures related to a flow diagram for github
