Phylogenetic Relationship of NOD1 Homologs in Teleost Species

Fig. 6, Phylogenetic tree of NOD1 homologs among teleost species.The coding sequence of the NOD1 gene for the Brown Trout was obtained on Ensembl to use as a reference sequence. A BLASTN search of the Brown Trout NOD1 gene was conducted on Ensembl, and the CDS data for homologous sequences found in 13 other teleost species was downloaded. Aligned protein translation of CDS sequences was conducted using MUSCLE in AliView, then a FASTA file of the aligned NOD1 sequences was imported into PhyML to create a phylogenetic tree. NOD1 homologs from saltwater species were labeled in blue, homologs from freshwater species were labeled in green, and homologs from anadromous species were labeled in purple.
