Zusammenfassung: | What is itFigure and html files showing the modules in the putative NPRS/PKS operons in the complete genomes of the Torix Rickettsia of Culicoides impunctatus and the Ca. Megaira of Mesostigma viride NIES-296.Figure S3. The circular chromosomes of A) a Torix group Rickettsia (RiCimp) and B) a Ca. Megaira sp. (MegNEIS296). From outside to in, the circles represent: forward CDSs (Red), Reverse CDSs (blue), tRNAs (yellow) rRNAs (black), and GC content (green and magenta). Highlighted are the predicted domains that form non-ribosomal peptide synthase (NRPS) and hybrid non-ribosomal peptide synthase/polyketide synthase (NRPS/PKS) gene modules. Modules define individual amino acids in the synthesised peptide and show the catalytic domains within modules. Beneath the predicted domains are diagrams showing the similarity of modules to their closest relatives in other species determined by blastp. The html files show bonzai module information in more detail including links to other existing NPRS/PKS systemsWhy is itThis is useful supporting information for the content of the descriptions of these two genomes in the paper, but not directly related to the main point of the paper.Use and benefitThe figure and html help illustrate what the two different NPRS/PKS operons look like in these bacteria and show what they look like in the context of their genome, and the html file show these modules in the context of known systems. |
