Zusammenfassung:Summary This metadata record provides details of the data supporting the claims of the related manuscript “Characterization of Weaning-Induced Breast Involution in Women: Implications for Young Women’s Breast Cancer”. The data consist of 37 .svs (ScanScope Virtual Slide; Aperio format) files and 2 summary Excel .xlsx format spreadsheets. The related study investigated the hypothesis that weaning-induced involution is a transient window of increased breast cancer risk that might be mitigated by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory treatment targeted to the ~3 month post-wean window of active tissue remodeling. Data access The data generated and/or analysed during the related study are available as part of this figshare record. The H&E stained images are the files with .svs extensions, and are labelled according to which figure they are associated with. Additionally, the spreadsheet “Data summary form.xlsx” lists all the .svs files. The spreadsheet “V6 summary sheet_MOM paperchecked2.xlsx” contains the plot data for the figures in the manuscript. Finally, the clinical data regarding lactation history has associated PHI information along with other clinical annotations. The lactation data will be made available on reasonable request to the corresponding authors.
