Zusammenfassung: | Copyright information:Taken from "Intracerebroventricular antisense knockdown of Gαresults in ciliary stasis and ventricular dilatation in the rat"BMC Neuroscience 2007;8():26-26.Published online 12 Apr 2007PMCID:PMC1855344. Hematoxylin-eosin staining of coronal brain sections illustrates damaged, irregular and ruptured structure of the ependymal cell layer in AS-ODN (antisense-oligodeoxynucleotide against Gα) treated animals. Numerous dying cell populations float inside the ventricle and scarcely any cilia are present. The ependymal cell layer of ODN control (nonsense oligodeoxynucleotide) and saline control animals show a normal, uniform ependymal cell row with numerous cilia (arrowheads). Scale bar: upper images, 500 μm; lower images, 50 μm. cc: corpus callosum, S: septum, Str: striatum. |
