Morphological and molecular evidence reveals a new species of the genus Laetmogone (Holothuroidea, Elasipodida, Laetmogonidae) from the abyssal plain adjacent to the Kermadec Trench

A new elasipodid species, Laetmogone multiradiolus sp. nov., was discovered in the Kermadec Trench in the South Pacific Ocean at a depth of 5735 m. It represents the deepest record of the genus Laetmogone Théel, 1879.
