The left plate is moving at 2 cm/s to the right. The simulation shows 600 s of convergence with the left edge of the plate moving a total of 12 m. The pressure, in Pa, felt by each grain is calculated for coloration to show regions of compression, tension, and the transmission of stress through the material. |
