Professionalising Data Science Roles Workshop Summary

This is a summary of the workshop for the Skills Policy Award project ‘Professionalising traditional and infrastructure research roles in data science’. The workshop was held on 2nd October 2023 and brought together a diverse mix of UK data science organisations from different domains and sectors. We discussed what roles there are in data science teams, what skills are needed for these roles, career pathways and future skills needs.
