Zusammenfassung:In June and July 2021, the Colorado River Basin Actionable and Strategic Integrated Science and Technology (ASIST) pilot team held a series of 12 Science and Technology Collaboration meetings with U.S. Geological Survey science staff to discuss complex integrated science challenges and solutions related to drought in the Colorado River Basin. These meetings were structured to explore existing opportunities for co-production of science information, identify challenges experienced by participants when working in isolation on complex problems, and envision future collaborative efforts that leverage new technology. We collected 865 individual responses to six discussion prompts (challenges, knowledge gaps, existing capabilities, strategies and actions, example applications, and next steps) using structured online collaboration tools. We then used terms from the U.S. Geological Survey Thesaurus and the Data Lifecycle model to attribute and summarize participant responses submitted to discussion prompts. In this data release, we provide relevant terms from the U.S. Geological Survey Thesaurus and Data Lifecycle model assigned to self-reported biographies of each participant (response_attendees.csv) and responses to each discussion prompt (response_challenges.csv, response_knowledge_gaps.csv, response_existing_capabilities.csv, response_strategies_actions.csv, response_example_applications.csv, and response_next_steps.csv). We also provide a summary of assigned terms by discussion prompt, across meetings, and by their associated Tier 1 and Tier 2 terms based on the U.S. Geological Survey Thesaurus hierarchy of terms (tiered_response_summary.csv).
