Zusammenfassung: | You Sing The Song is a live in-studio performance of improvisations for saxophone and drums/percussion. The performance aims to reflect the musicians' research in the traditions of American free-jazz and European free-improvisation, and specifically to contribute to the practice of saxophone and percussion duets that emerged in the late work of John Coltrane (among other artists). The music explores delicate micro-textures and large scale expressions of energy and emotion. The recording is produced in a "documentarian" style: the tracks are un-edited and comprise the totality of the session, which unfolded naturally in two 20-minute parts."... intimate, melodious, lyrical, gentle and elegant.
