Zusammenfassung: | Suicide is a serious public health problem that can be prevented. The university population is a vulnerable group that can develop emotional disorders, and medical students have higher anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation levels. It is a cross-sectional, observational, and descriptive study where suicide risk, depression, anxiety, assertiveness, self-efficacy, emotional dysregulation, problem-solving, coping, and self-esteem in students of the premedical course are evaluated. In medical students, mental health is a relevant issue due to the high workload, long hours of study, and little free time. These stressful situations can trigger affective disorders and suicidal ideation. It is necessary to provide psychological support programs and interventions that contribute to increasing the psychological well-being and quality of life of students. |
