Zusammenfassung: | This dataset contains information on the physical properties of soil collected from eroded and non-eroded areas within a forest watershed in Serbia. Soil samples were obtained from 13 cross-sections along gully networks, targeting three specific positions: the gully bed bottom (G), left bank (L), and right bank (R). Sampling was conducted at two depths: Zone 1 (5–10 cm) and Zone 2 (10–20 cm).
The dataset includes measurements of the following parameters:
Soil moisture content
Soil density (dry, specific, and moist)
Porosity and void ratio
Particle size distribution
Soil consistency
Clay activity index
The study aims to assess the influence of erosion processes on soil physical properties, while minimizing external factors such as slope, vegetation, and altitude by selecting a consistent study area. Statistical analyses, including a two-way ANOVA, were performed to investigate the spatial variability of these properties with respect to sampling position and soil depth.
This dataset provides valuable insights into the relationship between erosion mechanisms and soil physical properties, serving as a basis for further research on soil erosion and conservation strategies. |
