Zusammenfassung: | Dataset contains results from 1H low field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR) measurements of Wharton Jelly mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in vitro. A full quantitative characterization of MSCs' MR properties was possible by using different, complementary approaches. They encompassed various sample settings: MSCs cultured in a Petri dish, cell pellets in a cylindrical container and centrifuged cell suspensions in a glass pipette; experiments: 1D T1, 1D T2, 1D diffusion, 2D T1-T2 and D-T2; devices LF with a bore aperture and LF single-sided one with an extreme constant gradient strength. Complex NMR analysis was supported by random walk simulations. From the data, it was possible to determine MSCs' T1 and T2 relaxation times, cells and nuclei sizes, self-diffusion coefficients of the nucleus and cytoplasm, as well as to detect the influence of a single layer of cells on the effective diffusion coefficient of water and to identify apoptotic and necrotic cells death. Therefore, the dataset enables the obtainment of a full MR parameter set for MSCs and their biophysical characterization. |
