Zusammenfassung: | In this data base, we analyze the prevalence and related factors of Burnout Syndrome in Nursing Residents, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We discuss that COVID-19 pandemic presents a huge challenge for this group specially related to the context of residence program. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional study. The study subjects were 106 nurses enrolled in the Residency program in Clinical and General Surgery, at a public university in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The findings of this study revealed that the residents are on the threshold for the development of Burnout Syndrome, but there was a low occurrence of the installed syndrome. Although indicate the necessity of mental health program policy-making especially for nursing residents. |
