Zusammenfassung: | Immunohistochemistry was performed on subcutaneous tissue sections around Bijel-Templated Material (BTM) and Particle-Templated Material (PTM) implants after 28 days in nude mice. Blood vessels were labeled with the endothelial cell marker CD31 and the pericyte marker alphaSMA. Tissue sections were imaged via fluorescence microscopy and vessel outlines residing within implants were traced and quantified. This dataset contains the area of traced vessels within BTM and PTM implants sorted in 200 micrometer bins relative to the implant boundary. Individual vessel areas were normalized by dividing vessel area by the total tissue area of the corresponding 200 micrometer bin. Additionally, this dataset contains the total vessel area in all mice per total tissue area in the corresponding 200 micrometer bin for BTM and PTM implants. Individual and total vessel area were plotted versus 200 micrometer bins from implant boundary. |
