Zusammenfassung:These data were collected from 2017-2021 at Blandy Experimental Farm. Blandy Experimental Farm (BEF), located in Boyce, Clarke County, Virginia (39.06, -78.07), is a 300-hectare research, education, and outreach field station operated by the University of Virginia. BEF has two replicate chronosequences consisting of adjacent fields in three successional stages – early, mid, and late. All fields were formerly used for agriculture and were abandoned in 2001 and 2003 (early), 1986 and 1987 (mid), and prior to 1910 and 1920 (late). 5 plots within each field (total of 30 plots) were repeatedly sampled for soil and vegetation N characteristics, including total soil C and N, net N mineralization and nitrification, soil leaching potential, soil inorganic N, live foliar N, litter N, and 15N natural abundance. See metadata in each file for specific information about each dataset.
